Paint pens, paint markers, marker pens, permanent markers, whatever surface you need mark up you can find the right tool here in varying quantities by Dykam, Markal, and Irwin (Sharpie).  There's no smearing, fade and water resistant, and quick drying too.  Write it down and move on.
