The CTEK model 3300 is an intelligent battery charger with all the features of the smaller CTEK 800, but it's higher charging rate of 3.3 amps provides a full charge nearly 3 times faster. It also provides a 'deep cold' mode to handle a dead battery when the temperature drops below 10 degrees Farenhieght. The CTEK 3300 varies it's charging characteristics to handle ATV, motorcycle, automotive, deep cycle batteries and sensitive Gel and glass matt (AGM) batteries.

The rest is automatic. Not only will this charger bring most dead-gone batteries back to life, it's pulsing technology will de-sulfate the plates to restore capacity (though you'll have to buy their model 7000 if you need a miracle performed). It'll also sense a battery's characteristics so it'll never boil the acid, and it automatically tapers the charge rate to maintain 100% charge without damaging the plates (unlike like conventional charges!).

Don't confuse a conventional battery charger with CTEK's intelligent pulse chargers. It's night and day. First, pulse chargers ALWAYS use switching power supplies (that why they're so small) to precisely control output voltage, even when your AC voltage varies (you'll burn a glass matt battery real quick with a conventional charger just from a refrigerator turning on!). Secondly, Pulse charging truly assures 100% charge, won't boil the battery, de-sulfates a modestly worn battery back to nearly new, and can be kept attached to the battery indefinately. So, pulse chargers get 2 to 3 times the life out of any type of lead-acid battery. You'll pay about twice the price for a pulse-charger, but the investment pays for itself on your first battery. Really. Given the cost of a modern battery, it pays and pays to get an intelligent pulse charger and we think CTEK is the best of breed.
